A Week in Review will be a new weekly series on the blog. There is always a lot going on at the farm. Between home restorations, decorating, farm life, gardening.. the list goes on. This will be a place where I will share the weekly highlights.

A great start to the week
I started the week by hitting publish on the Part 1 of my master bedroom reveal!
After a year of working on this room, I am finally here to share the before and after pictures of this room. Looking back, I honestly can’t believe how far it’s come. There are still somethings I want to do over time, but this completes phase one of this restoration.
I shared all the before pictures (they are scary), what had to be done in this room, paint colors, and future plans HERE. Of course there are also a ton of AFTER pictures! I can’t wait for you to check it out.
Snowy days on the farm
I spent a snowy Saturday inside painting all the things with my Fusion Mineral paint. I’ve been wanting to try this paint for soo long so I had been making a mental list of all the things I could paint when I finally went ahead and ordered this paint. It’s pretty pricey, which is why I waited so long to finally buy it, but I’m glad I did. This paint goes a longgggg way and I love the way it goes on. It dries matte but feels silky to the touch. So far, I’m obsessed.
I thought I would share this view of our house after receiving a few questions about our bell tower. We were told it was original to the garage that was eventually rebuilt in 2005. I love that this piece of history was saved. Not only is it a heck of a view but it also works and we use it as a dinner bell.
A sneak peak into the master bedroom
I started working on adding furniture to the master bedroom last weekend and had to share a picture of what it’s starting to look like. This room will be changing a lot in the next few months. Eventually we will be getting a bigger bed, new bed frame, and a bigger rug. For now, I am so excited to start moving in the furniture we have so we can move into this room and see what set up works best for us.
I also made the least professional tutorial ever of how I hang curtains and the little trick I use so the curtain rod doesn’t slide around. It is saved in my Instagram highlights if you want to check it out!
Valentine’s Day Decor
Do you decorate for Valentine’s Day?
I’ve been on the hunt for pretty vintage looking roses for the past few weeks now for some simple Valentine’s day decor. I haven’t been able to find what I was looking for and didn’t want to buy flowers I didn’t really love.
Last weekend I was going through storage and found some dried flowers from the summer. I decided to make a simple arrangement in my antique dough bowl and love the way it turned out. It’s perfect for Valentine’s day with the pops of pink, but I also think it’s a great transitional piece for spring. Sometimes it’s not about buying more, but rethinking about what you already have.
I saved how I created this looks and links to recreate it yourself in Instagram stories.
More simple Valentine’s Day decor
I’ve been all about simple Valentine’s Day decor this year. In stories I shared how I made a simple centerpiece with dried florals. I also added a few dried flowers to my cozy garland. I love the detail of the dried flowers paired with the vintage Valentines.
Do you use dried flowers and greenery in your decor?! I linked some great options in my stories if you are looking for some!
Creating a healthier lifestyle
Do you want to live a healthier lifestyle but don’t know where to start?
That was me for a long time. I loved the idea of using clean products and cutting out chemicals but it felt too overwhelming. Cue, Public Goods!
Public Goods is making it easier and more affordable than ever to purchase organic, responsibly sourced products with clear labels so you can be confident in the products you and your family are using.
I’m not perfect, we still have “dirty” products in our home and I don’t shop exclusively in the organic section at the grocery store. BUT, Public Goods is making it easier for me to slowly introduce healthier products into our busy lifestyle and it’s making all the difference.
If you are interested in checking out Public Goods for yourself, use the code DIANAMARIEPGA for 15% off your first order.
Valentine’s Day at the Farm

Can you guess what Kurt and I did?! Spoiler alert, we stayed in and ordered take out! Hahah
Antiquing and a Sale you don’t want to miss
I spent Saturday antiquing with family. As hard as it is for me to leave behind all the work I have to do at the house, it is so nice to get out and search for treasures. It is like therapy for me and I always come home feeling inspired.
I found some great treasures and I can not wait to share them! Two are for the master bedroom and they couldn’t be more perfect!
Also, FYI Well Woven is having a huge Presidents’ Day sale. I love that you can use my code “15DIANA” for an extra 15 percent off of their sale prices! Our rug is the harmony beige 9×13 and I can’t say enough how much I love it!
A Week in Review summary
That sums up the first “Week in Review.” In a fast paced world, I hope this will serve as an inspirational series. It isn’t always possible to keep up with social media daily, so this will serve a space that is here when it is convenient for you!
I hope you enjoyed the first week of my new series! As always, thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. It means the world!
