A Week in Review is a series where I summarize all the latest updates of farm and fixer upper life in one spot. Last week was spent sharing the love and celebrating Easter.

Starting the week with a Giveaway
You guys have been showing me so much love on my master bedroom restoration and that means the world to me! Something that makes that room so special is that it is filled with one of a kind antiques and small shop items. That is why I have partnered with @sweet_gumball to giveaway one down filled linen pillow, like the one I have on our bed. This pillow adds instant cozy vibes!
Thank you to everyone who entered this giveaway and helped to support this small shop!
Share the Love
Last week we shared the love all across Instagram. Sharing accounts and finding new inspiration is one of my favorite things to do on social media and it makes me so happy to come together as a community to do just that together.
Last week I was sitting on the couch after working from home feeling super lazy. I was thinking about taking a nap, which would have meant the rest of my day would be unproductive because I am not good and waking up from naps. I was scrolling on Instagram and say @lizmariegalvan ‘s post of her simple daffodil center piece. It inspired me to go outside and recreate the look in our dining room. It also gave me the motivation I needed to paint one of the rooms I’ve been working on and sand floors to get them ready for paint. More on all that soon!
Netflix & Quarantine
Today Kurt and I had a pretty lazy day. It’s safe to say we both needed a little break from working on the house and farm. We watched Angle has Fallen on Netflix and it was pretty good. I am probably the worst person to watch a suspenseful movie with but we got through it 😂 What are you watching on Netflix these days?
Raising Chicks & Chickens
Thinking about getting chickens but not sure where to start? Today on the blog I shared all the basics about how to raise chicks and keep a small flock. I am not an expert, but I shared what has worked for us.
I hope this post is helpful in some way. Even if you are not thinking about getting chickens, there are a bunch of cute chicken pictures too!

Projects Behind the Scenes
I’ve been a little MIA from Instagram but getting a lot done around the house and on the blog. I’ll have some changes coming soon that I am so excited about! I also primed the floor in the sitting room which made a huge difference! That room is really coming together and I can’t wait to share all the before and after pictures with you!
What have you been working on lately? Any projects, new recipes, ect?!
Easter
Easter this year was like no other but we made the best of it. It was simple and special in its own way. I missed being with family but the meaning of today was celebrated. We watched church online in the morning, worked around the farmhouse and farm, and had a beautiful Easter dinner. I know today was difficult for so many, but I hope everyone was able to find something positive, no matter how small.
A Series to Binge
I don’t quite understand it, but Mondays seem to keep their reputation even when working from home, do you know what I mean?!
Kurt ans I have been watching more Netflix lately and recently came across a series called Money Heist. Kurt and I don’t always like the same shoes but we are both hooked on this one! If you are looking for something new to watch, check it out. But be prepared to commit because you will definitely get sucked in. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!
What genre do you prefer? My go to is comedy but suspense/thrillers hook me every time.
