A Week in Review is a series where I summarize all the latest updates of farm and fixer upper life in one spot. Last week was all about bringing spring vibes into the farmhouse.

A week in review and spring vibes
The week began by hitting publish on the second “Week in Review,” the new series I started on the blog to give weekly updates of everything going on here at Diana Marie Home and Flint Creek Farm. I hope this makes it a little easier to find updates and inspiration when it is convenient for you.
On a side note, have you started decorating for spring yet? I feel like it’s still early but I am ready for the warmer temps and spending more time outside. In the meantime I’ve been adding pops of spring greenery and house plants through out the house.
A long week
I know it’s only Tuesday but doesn’t it feel like tomorrow should be Friday? Just me?
Tuesday in stories I shared my view while making dinner. The chickens don’t come near the house often but I always enjoy watching them when they do. Today they were scratching through leaves and I think I might have seen the start of some bulbs coming up. We are counting down the days until spring here on the farm. I can’t wait to see all the flowers bloom, work outside, and get ready for all the things that come with warmer weather.
What about spring are you looking most forward to?
My favorite antique find
What is your favorite antique find?!
I shared all about this beauty in my Instagram stories tonight. This antique pier mirror may just be my most unique antique yet. The seller told me his mom purchased it from an estate sale in the 60s so the exact history is unknown. Based on his research it is likely from the late 1800’s and used in a theater dressing room. In my opinion this mirror was meant to live in our master bedroom.

A new favorite candle
Oh my gosh, has this been the longest week or what?! I love my long breaks from work but the week after the struggle is real. My day got a lot better when I got my candles from The Growing Candle in the mail. It’s a husband and wife team who make hand poured soy candles in the prettiest containers that double as flower pots when the candle is gone. GENIUS! They are working hard to create cozy homes while decreasing waste at the same time.
I went with the Norah and Astrid in the scents cedar wood and rosemary and highly recommend both styles and scents. I’ll will be sharing more about these candles soon!

Simple Cozy Spring DIY
NEW BLOG POST!
This morning I shared all about how I made vintage clay pot candle holders. I love how they bring spring vibes with a cozy feel. They are perfect for this time of year when I’m craving spring but it’s still winter outside.

A lazy weekend
Kurt and I had a super lazy Saturday. It’s not easy taking a break when there are so many projects that are waiting to get done but I think it’s important to take time for rest. For me that means tea, cozy blankets, and Netflix.
What does a lazy day look like for you? Do you need days off to relax or do you like to keep busy all the time?
P.S. Doesn’t Lucy (AKA MY vintage dress form) look nice in her new home? I have been loving this little nook in our master bedroom. I’ve been trying to incorporate more dark tones in my decor to contrast all the white and I’ve been loving the way it all comes together.
A spring coffee bar
After church on Sunday Kurt and I stopped at Walmart to pick up a few more house plants. You can never have too many, am I right?! Our local Walmart has a lot of really great and affordable house plants right now. I love filling the house with fresh greenery while I impatiently wait for the warmer temps outside. Doesn’t the pothos look so nice in the vintage planter I picked up from an estate sale Friday? .
What are some of your favorite house plants? I am always looking for new [easy] plants to add to my little plant fam!
Summary
