My finds from @thefoundcottage and @thefoundcottagemercantile over the weekend. After years of dreaming about going to the store and market with my friend Meg @coloringincardigans we finally made it happen! Fun story about the metal '111' tag, I saw it in @canvasandcargo 's booth through @lizmariegalvan' s stories before the market. The number 11 reminds me of my grandma. She was the best bargain hunter and would take me all over to hunt for treasures. We didn't get to the market as early as planned so I figured I missed it, especially when I got to the booth and saw all the other tags but no '111.' As I was looking through all the other amazing antiques I found another tag display with my '111' tag! It was meant to be, Grandma was at the market with us 🥹

Did you know you can get free tomato plants from cuttings? It's super easy to do. By doing this you can gift plants to friends and grow a second harvest of tomatoes. This way you'll have a bonus crop of tomatoes when your first round is slowing down and dying out.

Jumping on the painted ghost trend. I dug through my stash and found this $5 vintage print. It was perfect for this project because it's a fall landscape. I used paint left over from another project to paint a little ghost in the woods. I love this idea because it used items I already had and when Halloween is over I can just scrape the paint off the glass so the art won't be permanently altered.

Not decorating for fall or Halloween yet, but wanted to share this idea now so you can start looking for your own vintage art. This could also be done by framing a magazine cut out or online print!

This isn't a big before and after transformation. I still have to touch up paint and decide how I want to decorate this space but progress deserves to be celebrated too. So here is an imperfect look at the progress I made today on our new little cafe nook. I took my sister's brilliant idea and used what I already had to make this space more functional for our family. I think my favorite part about it so far is the vintage duck my toddler added before we sat down to eat dinner here. He's got great taste 😉 Now to decide how to decorate the wall behind the table.
