With Thanksgiving right around the corner, there is a lot to plan. I will share an easy Fall Thanksgiving DIY center piece that is FREE so that decorating for guests is one less thing you have to worry about.
Fall is my favorite season for many reasons, but one of the top reasons is for the colors. I use nature to inspire my home decor, and I love the warm rich colors that come with fall. This easy Fall Thanksgiving DIY was inspired from this view of our farmhouse. I love the way the golden leaves look in front of our white farmhouse. I used the supplies below to bring this look into our home.
DIY Supplies:
- Containers (I used vintage crocks)
- Glass jars or plastic containers that fit inside of your containers and are water tight (I used recycled pickle and mason jars)
- Pruners (I used THESE and they work AMAZING!)
- Tree branches (I used 2-3 per container)
Step 1: Set up
Place the decorative containers on the table where you would like them. I used 3 vintage crocks and centered them down the table. Then fill the glass/plastic jars with water and place inside.
I used vintage cracks and recycled containers, but I found some other great options below!
Step 2: Style
Next use your pruners to trim each branch to the desired length and place them in the container filled with water.
I used about 2-3 branches per container. I love the natural look about this center piece. While styling, a few leaves fell off the branches. I felt like it added to it’s natural look so I left them there and scattered a few more around the table as well.
The tree branches stayed fresh for a full day. On day 2, the leaves started to get a little crunchy, and by day 3 they were dried out. If you plan to create this center piece for a gathering, I would suggest putting it together the night before or morning of for best results. However, if you would like it to last a bit longer, I compiled some great faux options below that could also be used!
