Simple Farmhouse Christmas Decor
Living in a fixer upper, my goal is to create seasonal decor that is simple. I wanted to create all the cozy Christmas vibes in our bedroom without spending a lot of time or money. In order to do this, I used a simple DIY to create a simple farmhouse Christmas bedroom.
Christmas DIY
To make a statement, I gathered mercury glass ornaments (similar to these ones), some tacks, and fishing string. I spaced nine tacks out evenly across my vintage windows and secured them at the top. Then I cut fishing line to the desired length and tied my ornaments on each string. I varied the sizes and amount of ornaments on each string to mix it up.
Christmas Greenery
Every Winter/Christmas scene needs some greenery. I didn’t want to risk real pine shedding on our bed, so I used my faux long needle pine wreath instead. Then I just used some simple ribbon and a scrap piece of material to add a cozy texture.
I added some ribbon, faux pine, and vintage ornaments to an antique silver toureen that is placed on the end table. If that wasn’t festive enough, I topped it all off with my cute little santa mug. This red stripped blanket also upped the cozy vibes in this space.
