How I’ve been saving money on home decor and more

Decorating our home has always been a passion of mine.  Since we have been on a budget after buying our fixer upper farmhouse, I am always looking for ways to save money.  Usually that means thrifting, taking on more DIYs, and looking for sales.  Recently, I found a new way to save money using Shoptagr.

Shoptagr is a free online app and Chrome extension that saves you money on products you want to buy from over 9,000 retailers.  There are two main ways I use it.  For items I need right away, I add them to my cart and before checking out I click on one button and Shoptagr checks for any coupons that can be used.  For items I want, but don’t need right away, I can easily save and track them on my Shoptagr dashboard.  If there is a sale, coupon, or cashback opportunity on any of my saved items, Shoptagr sends me a notification so that I don’t miss it.

At first, I was a little hesitant to download a shopping tool because I didn’t want to complicate things.  I am so glad I gave Shoptagr a chance because it was so easy to set up and has saved me so much time without making me change where or how I shop.  I can still shop online at all my go-to places (hello Amazon and Target).  The only difference is that I click the Shoptagr button on the side of my screen before checking out (instead of spending a ton of time searching for coupon codes on Google).  Within seconds I know if there is a coupon I can apply or if I’ve already found the best deal for items in my cart.

I also really enjoy being able to save items I don’t need right away on my dashboard.  I can even organize them by categories (e.g., cozy, home decor, spring wardrobe, gift ideas).  For a visual person like me, this has been a great feature.
