Find inspiration and easy ways to decorate the outside of your home for Fall on a budget.
Fall decor isn’t just for inside the home. In fact, before we had our farmhouse I enjoyed creating seasonal vignettes outside. With it officially being Fall, I thought it would be fun to gather up some of my previous and current outdoor fall decor to hopefully inspire you this season.
Pay Attention to Detail
Wrapping pieces of burlap around the plastic pots that plants come in and tying the top with twine is a simple and affordable way to jazz up your fall decor. This trick takes little effort but makes a big impact!
Use Items You Already Have
Help out your wallet by supplementing the yearly fall decor (e.g., pumpkins, mums, corn stalks) with things you already own and can use for more than just fall decor. For example, terra-cotta clay pots can be used in the spring, summer, and fall. Other neutral items like metal buckets or chippy milk cans can also be used for multiple seasons.
Mix Faux with Real
Mixing faux florals and pumpkins with real ones not only saves you money each year, but can add to your overall look. When you add real or dried items to faux, it can make the faux look more real. I painted these faux pumpkins (below) years ago and they have been a staple in my fall decor ever since. Also, real does’t always have to be bought. Go for a quick nature walk and bring back some of the flowers, stems, and branches that stand out to you. Some of my favorite florals have been free and what others might even consider to be weeds!
I hope you found this compilation of outdoor fall decor helpful and leave feeling a bit more inspired to decorate outside your home, making it more cozy on a budget. Thank you so much for stopping by the blog! You can also follow along on Instagram for more daily inspiration .
